I Wish I Could Fly
Verse 1
I got lot’s of friends I’m happy to say
Said Hello to the birds, and they’re flying away
Am I the last of my kind,
or the last one here
I got paws and claws But I got no wings
Except in the bureau of magical things
I’m going there right now
And there I’ll stay
Pre-Chorus
If I could speak would you listen to me
If I could paint would you finally see
If I pause time would you stop to look
What if I wrote it in a book
Chorus
I wish I could fly so far from here
I wish I could fly so far and near
I wish I could fly; I wish I could fly
I ain’t coming back, no I’m gone for good
I ain’t coming back, never to these woods
I wish I could fly I wish I could fly
Verse 2
You’re sad for me, but I’m sad for you
You don’t know what you’re about to do
And if you did
Would you stop anyway
I saw a TV Show once that made me cry
Standing in a rain, with a moonlit sky
I was here first,
before you arrived
Pre-Chorus
If I could speak would you listen to me
If I could paint would you finally see
If I pause time would you stop to look
What if I wrote it in a book
Chorus
I wish I could fly so far from here
I wish I could fly so far and near
I wish I could fly I wish I could fly
I ain’t coming back, no I’m gone for good
I ain’t coming back, never to these woods
I wish I could fly I wish I could fly
