Kelsie Kimberlin is a force of nature. After spending the past year documenting the resilience of the Ukrainian people—efforts that earned her the United Nations Humanitarian Award and the St. George’s Royal Medal of Honor from King Charles—she is returning to her pop roots. Her latest single, Clumsy Girl, is a vibrant, uplifting anthem about self-discovery and the pursuit of dreams, regardless of the obstacles in our path.

To bring this vision to life, Kelsie collaborated with a global powerhouse production team. Recorded in Los Angeles with Grammy-nominated producer Sean P. Jones, the track also features contributions from Pedro Vengoechea in Colombia and Vasyl Tkach in Czechia. The final polish comes from industry royalty, mixed by Grammy winner Liam Nolan and mastered by Grammy nominee Stuart Hawkes.

The music video, directed by Pavlo Khomiuk, was filmed in Kyiv during a week of intense missile and drone attacks. In a chilling testament to the reality of the region, the very window where Kelsie filmed a scene was destroyed by a drone shortly after production wrapped. Yet, the final result is a beautiful portrayal of two girls navigating life and love in a “cr*zy world.” Kelsie explains, “With Clumsy Girl, I want to show that, despite the challenges, people can have fun and have hope as long as they have someone.”

Spot on the lyrics, the song speaks to the universal feeling of being misunderstood: “Clumsy girl, you know you’re so confused / Clumsy girl, you know you’re being used.” It’s a relatable journey of faking confidence until you find your footing. Ultimately, the song is a call to action, reminding listeners that it is time to open the door because they are “so much more.”
