Bence Kocsis introduced his vibrant electronic solo project, OIEE in 2019. He is a renowned figure in the Hungarian music community for his skills as a producer-songwriter, multimedia artist, and event organizer. Bence also leads a live improv electronica music series called ‘WOPO-WOPO’ and serves as the frontman of bands Saverne and Window.
The primary categories of OIEE’s music are nu-disco, dance, and R&B. These genres blend the sounds of various musical instruments with the tropical and non-tropical house, techno, disco, and trance elements as well as contemporary soul-inspired vocals among others.
OIEE’s track “Static,” which features the touching lyrics of Berlin-based artist Nomé, is a fusion of EDM and hip-hop that feels like an impromptu dance party taking place in a dark alleyway. If Mozart had time-traveled to modern times with turntables in tow, he might have collaborated with Beethoven at Coachella and created something akin to this song.

OIEE isn’t merely pushing boundaries; they’re breaking them down completely by transporting genres into abstract dimensions where they shift shape like clouds painted by Picasso. The overall vibe mixes jazz sensibilities with techno energy – every beat drop punctuates their defiant musical stance against conventionality.
Let’s not overlook how Nomé graces our ears with silky rhymes sharper than a samurai blade infused with honey – mingling so smoothly that each syllable synchronizes perfectly like the crash of synth waves on percussive shores. The blend is as electrifyingly illuminating as being struck by lightning, and before you know it, you’re clamoring for an encore!
OIEE has got albums like “Two Sides,” and “Urban Camouflage,” over the years which you can look up on the various streaming platforms Spotify, Soundcloud, Shazam, Apple music, YouTube, and more.
“OIEE doesn’t just produce records but enhances gems until they become revolutionary sounds fit for space stations. If there was ever a musical renaissance taking place, “Static” would be playing at its coronation.
