Taffy T: ‘Phone Check’ New Single

• TAFFY T TALKS POST-HEARTBREAK HEARTACHE ON LATEST SINGLE ‘PHONE CHECK’

Taffy T is an artist based in Buckinghamshire, UK. In 2017, he released his debut songs Survived and Stronger, with his first EP titled Gone released in 2018. Taffy T draws inspiration from his own personal experiences; in the realm of love. Whether it be failed love, lost love or unrequited love. At its core, his music reflects his own inner thoughts and desires.

Taffy T released an album based on the grieving process of a heartbreak called On That Night in December 2021. An extended version of the album is due in autumn 2023, probably after ‘Phone Check.’

With the grief of heartache still heavy on his shoulders, Alternative RnB artist Taffy T unravels the wounds of his past on his new mash-up single, ‘Phone Check’, which was released today, September 8th, 2023, and it is available on all streaming platforms.

Following the release of his 2021 record “On The Night”, Taffy blends together a heartache milkshake using two tracks, “Left On Read” and “3 Days” – both taken from the aforementioned album – in a bid to relinquish himself from the grief of losing touch with a lover. With the help of Vancouver-based friend and co-writer, Joffery Hollsworth, the pair collaborated on lyrics that describe the hopeless cycle of checking your phone over and over after being left on read.

Speaking on the single, Taffy says…
“I was a bit hesitant to release this one but after a night out with a few friends. They convinced me that I needed to let it all out, the hurt, the disappointment and the sadness. The artwork funnily enough was something that was a spur of the moment…. Me and the friends on the night out we had randomly thought “let’s take a pic of our hands together”

Being ‘ghosted’, as it’s known, is all too common in the world of digital communication, which is why this track is sure to resonate with a generation of love sick people of all genders, wounded by their jilted romances.
