Classical

Classical music, though difficult to define precisely, is generally recognized as music that originates from Western European traditions and is performed by skilled musicians in formal settings such as concert halls, opera houses, and churches. Its main focus is on accurately interpreting the written scores of composers. Classical music has its origins in the melodic chants of Medieval religious ceremonies. In its modern form, it encompasses various genres including opera, symphony orchestras, chamber ensembles, solo pieces, choral music, songs, film music, and experimental compositions. The majority of recorded classical music comes from the centuries between the Renaissance and the Modern era, reflecting the artistic and architectural trends of each period. The distinction between classical and popular music is a relatively recent cultural development. In fact, much of what is now considered classical music was either influenced by or originated from the popular music of its time.
