Lilly Bedard is an indie-pop singer songwriter based out of Jupiter, Florida. As for songwriting, Lilly draws inspiration from indie-folk-pop artists like Lizzy McAlpine and Noah Kahan, known for their honesty and authentic production that connects to the listener in a powerful, effortless manner.
However, drawing from her experiences with nature, another aspect of her style is trying to create music that elicits feelings of peace, well-being, and effortlessness- inspired by the sounds and sensations of artists like Still Woozy, Florence + The Machine, and BETWEEN FRIENDS. Her latest release, “Untouchable You,” exemplifies exactly this.
Written in her college dorm room during her freshman year, “Untouchable You” is an emotional, yet feel-good piece that takes the listener on a journey of what it’s like to experience change as a young adult in a new environment, feeling unsure of their place in the world. A timeless emotion, Untouchable You connects to listeners of all ages and backgrounds.
“My upcoming music was written during a year full of intense ups and downs for me- ending a long-term relationship and beginning a whole new life in a completely different state 2000 miles away from home…The idea for Untouchable You was born in the backseat of my friend’s car driving to get dinner in Boston. I wrote almost the full song on my notes app right there! Seeing how the song has transformed into so much more has been such an emotional process.”
As for her plans for 2023, Lilly is releasing a brand new single, “What Could’ve Been,” written about wondering if a past relationship was “the one” and worrying that they are likely not feeling the same way. Like therest of her discography, her new single can eventually be found on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and all streaming platforms.
