The EP unfolds like a confessional diary, tracing the arc of an unquiet relationship. Breaking it down, not in a meticulous order:

“Love You Down”: The opening track sets the tone with its sultry melodies and vulnerable lyrics. Marc’s vocals glide over the beat, capturing the intoxicating allure of forbidden love. Lines like “I just want to love you down, babe” “We could go a couple of rounds, babe” and “Love it when you make those sounds babe” resonate with anyone who’s ever danced on the edge of desire.

“Knew Better”: Here, Marc confronts the painful truth—the man he trusted harbored secrets. “I’m trying to protect my peace. So, I gotta say, my piece. I know you’ve been on the streets, telling big lies. You tell me that you felt asleep, and got your phone on DnD. And now you’re with your homies Is that right?” he sings. The betrayal stings, but the realization dawns: “I knew better, but I fell anyway.”

“Too Damn Pretty”: In this track, Marc grapples with insecurity. The man’s long-time girlfriend—a shadow in the background—casts doubt on Marc’s self-image. “I’m doing good on my own now. You must be out of your mind, if you think I’m gonna waste my time on somebody I can’t explain how they feel now. I’m just keeping it real now, you don’t know me. If you think I’ll siting at home crying, over you.” she wonders. The vulnerability is palpable.

“Not My Business”: The EP takes a turn as Marc sheds illusions. “I know that you wanna be with me. It isn’t even a question. I know that you wanna be set free from the heart that you’re messing with. It ain’t none of my Business…,” she declares. The beat pulses with defiance, and we feel the weight lifting off her shoulders.

“Song Cry”: The lead single, “Song Cry,” captures heartache in its purest form. “You had the baddest try to turn me average and that was your first mistake, the wish that you have has chosen this game…,” Marc croons. The ache is universal, and her voice cracks with emotion.

“If You Miss Me”: A plea for closure, this track finds Marc at a crossroads. Full acoustic, guitar, and jazzy style gave the spotlight on this track. And with complementing lines, “I miss your smile. I miss your love. I miss the memories that we have. I miss your voice. I miss your touch. I miss your kiss … If you’re missing. Just say. If you miss me, Just say that. Just say that. So I can say it back…,” she sings. The resolve is firm, yet the longing lingers.

“Closure”: The EP’s finale is a cathartic release. “Good riddance,” Marc declares, reclaiming her power. The beat swells, and we’re swept into his newfound freedom.

Clocking in at just under 23 minutes, “Good Riddance” is a concise yet impactful journey. Marc Rnagel’s fresh perspective as an upcoming R&B singer/songwriter infuses each track with authenticity.

Whether you’ve experienced heartbreak or sought closure, this EP resonates. As the final chords fade, we’re left with a sense of renewal—a reminder that sometimes, saying goodbye is the ultimate act of self-love.
