Sir-Vere, a UK-based four-piece Rock band hailing from MK, merges Post Punk sensibilities with Electronic Dance vigor. Their latest release, “Destroya,” stands out as a pinnacle from the ‘Lovescope’ album, slated for a re-release on Worldsound/Virgin Music Group on January 26, 2024, following a limited self-release in early 2023 on Gatefold Vinyl. This track features striking remixes from Rory Hoy, Vodzilla, and Sonale.

“Destroya” isn’t just a musical piece; it’s a showcase of exceptional electric guitar artistry that elevates the track to unprecedented heights. Progressing through its 3-minute and 25-second duration, the song intensifies, building tension with its vibrant and cacophonic energy. The drumkit’s dynamic range fuels the track’s fervor, propelling it forward with relentless force.

‘Destroya’ – is a snapshot of the alarm and paranoia of life under Covid lockdown, with nature wrath’s and society’s failures combining for maximum oppression, borrowing George Floyd’s tragic words “I can’t breathe” as a catch-all to simultaneously sum both up.  It’s a prime example of the new, ‘Lovescope’-era Sir-vere firing on all cylinders, congregating around a killer guitar riff that’s half AC/DC, half James Brown, where live beats and synthesized textures interact seamlessly and frontman Craig Hammond and singer Ian McEwan weave themselves around each other.

The song’s sonic landscape, intricately woven in a meticulously crafted stereo field, engulfs the listener in a rich and immersive auditory experience. Drenched in sludgy distorted guitar tones reminiscent of post-grunge classics, “Destroya” exudes a raw and defiant texture, amplifying its rebellious essence.

Sir-Vere’s ability to fuse alternative rock, grunge, and shoegaze elements transcends conventional genre boundaries, establishing a distinctive sonic identity.

Alongside “Destroya,” the band’s forthcoming single, “Legion,” and its Remix EP slated for release on January 12th and 19th, 2024, further cement their position as innovative creators pushing the boundaries of music.
